Summer Vacation Fun

Jeff's had this week off and we decided just to stick around here. We started Monday off with the ultrasound and then went to chocolate world in the evening. Chocolate world was filled with VERY Interesting people going to the Def Leppard and Journey concert. As we left the concert was just starting and we saw more than one group of people holding their red plastic cups full of beer. And we think admission was free if your hair was cut in a mullet because almost everyone's was.On Tuesday we decided to hit Hershey Park early and go for a few hours before the crowds came. It was fun and Owen got to go on a bunch of rides, including a few new ones. He was being really brave and having a lot fun. Here they are on the frog hopper. This ride is one of the scarier ones and this is the first time he's smilied the whole time through. We know it looks like Jeff broke in and forced the guy to let him on, but that's really a seat designed for an adult to go with their child. In the afternoon we had a barbeque with our friends and then went to a free concert over on the medical center lawn. Owen had so much fun dancing and going completely crazy. I didn't have my camera so I have to get some pictures of him dancing from our friend. After the concert we drove up Hershey Park Drive and parked closer to where the fireworks were going off. It was fun but we were so worried about getting suck in a traffic jam on the way out and we didn't really enjoy the fireworks. They weren't really that great anyway. But it was a fun adventure. I think Owen had a great day because he got to pee in a field, by a bush, and by a fence becuase we were so busy. He is doing so well with potty training!

On Wednesday we went down to Lancaster. We went to the National Toy Train museum. It was a lot of fun. They had a bunch of displays and you pushed buttons and the trains would take off around the track. Owen loved it. After a while we realized he couldn't really see very well so he spent a lot of time on Jeff's shoulders. We also did a little shopping, but I wasn't feeling the best, so we ended up coming home early.
On Friday we went swimming. Here Owen is sporting his new speedo float suit. He didn't have his front floaters in, but there are floaters in the front and back. He loves it although he doesn't quite understand how to balance himself. It's been a really fun week just spending time together.

NEW ENDING

Okay I don't think I can wait until tomorrow so the contest end date is being moved forward to 10pm tonight. Sorry Miriam, you're just going to have to miss out on this one. And no Jon you can't guess in each post. I'll post the colored picture after I tell the winner so check back at 10:15pm.

GUESS THE NUMBER

I'm deleting any posts that guess the gender. You're supposed to guess the NUMBER below.

It's a....

Jar of M&m's! The grocery store by us sells colored m&m's so we got some which represent the gender of our unborn child. This is a quart size jar filled to the top. Submit your guess in the comments and if you're the closest to the correct number then you'll be first to know what we're having. And you'll win all the m&m's! We'll mail anywhere in the continental U.S. Happy guessing. The contest closes tomorrow at 10am eastern standard time.

No purchase necessary, you do not have to be 18 to enter, but sorry each person only gets one guess.

spastic nerve

As some of you might have heard I'm suffering from some spastic nerve pain in my face. I'm not really sure what's causing it, but I sure hope it goes away soon because it is not fun! I couldn't sleep so I thought I'd post some pictures.

Owen has always loved his animals. Ever since bunny was givin to him at 9 months old by a nice old lady at a garage sale (completely new thank heavens). Here you can see he somehow rescued my old sunshine carebear from a box. Nowdays he loves subjecting his animals to naps, timeouts, and eating meals with him. He also loves to throw them down the stairs or make huge piles of them. I've never loved stuffed animals but they're sure a lot better than real animals right now.

Homemade Icecream

Two Sundays ago we made homemade icecream. Owen loved it and pretty much watched it the whole time. It was really good too so I'm challenging everyone reading this to make homemade icecream and post a picture on your blog. You won't regret it!
Here is what I did while Owen made the ice cream. I look pretty happy!
