Benny

Benny, our huge fluffy cat decided to join Hannah for a nap on the couch the other day. When Hannah woke up she said "uh guys! What the...why is...he's too big, I can't get up!"

Finn is 6 months!

I am so happy Finn is 6 months old. He is a sweet baby. He smiles at everyone and loves to be held and played with. When he isn't receiving attention he is loud and fussy. He screams just like Hannah did, and I will have to stock up on ear plugs for the car because I can tell he is going to be a loud one!

He has always had some issues with eating and now that we're starting solids that is no exception. He was ok the first few times I fed him applesauce and rice cereal, but now he gags anytime I put anything into his mouth. So my new approach is to take things slowly, I give him little bites of the things I'm eating. But I'm not cooking squash and blending up pears just so he can spit them back out at me. As you can see, he's doing just fine, getting the nutrients he needs:)

Owen and Hannah love to play with him and Finn LOVES them. Owen is great at getting giggles out of Finn, and Hannah is good at keeping him entertained for quite a while. The thing I enjoy the most is right after Finn gets out of the bath. He has that yummy baby smell, and I love to play with him and make him giggle. (Because he spits up the smell doesn't last long). I am really happy Jeff and I are going on vacation in a month. These kids are a lot of work, and my new calling has been very time consuming too. I can't wait for a break!

Happy 6 months Finn!

Owen's baptism

One of the best days of this past year was Owen's baptism. It was amazing. There is nothing like seeing your husband baptize your son. I love them both so much, and I am so happy Owen made this choice, and I know he knew what he was doing. He was literally glowing all day and kept saying "I love this feeling, I just feel so good!"
I need to get the posed before picture from my dad. Our Stake doesn't have a baptismal font so our baptisms started at 9am. (So the Green Canyon Stake can have their baptisms after us). Jeff and Owen got to the church early but I was hurrying with the other kids and didn't get to the church till a few minutes before. They were playing beautiful prelude music and Owen and Jeff were sitting in the front. There was such a special feeling there. We had a few short talks then Owen was second to go back to the font. The above picture is him waiting to go into the font. As he was walking into the font Hannah said "Here he comes!!!" It was a beautiful ordinance, and his confirmation was also special. Great Job Owen! We love you!!!!!!

blog. What blog?

I'm sorry poor neglected blog. Not only have I forgotten you, but all the other blogs like you. I don't know how it happened. Well ok I do. I had a baby, moved, and read a lot of good books. But instead of writing an obituary for you (which I really did consider) I think I'll try to bring you back to life. You see, Hannah was looking at all the pictures, and asking me to see more. So I'll try, I don't know how good I am at saving lives, but it looks like you still have a pulse...and good you're still breathing!

Here is a cute shot of the kids
