We had so much rain last weekend. Owen had fun playing outside and splashing. We ran errands on Saturday and he loved splashing us while we walked into and out of stores. One afternoon he played in the back for a few hours and came in completely soaked. He found those boots at a second hand store while I was looking at something else. He loves them because he can put them on by himself
Here is a picture of him after the rain stopped. He made a bed outside for him and his animals. Notice everything is so green. All the grass had turned completely brown, but it only took a few days change bright green again.

Those are sweet boots. I wish that we would get some rain here in Utah. Today it is cloudy and humid (for Utah), but has yet to rain.
I think too much grass is a waste of space, but I've got to admit it's a pretty amazing plant. You can deprive it of water and it just goes dormant until the roots get water again. Most other plants shrivel, die, and won't come back if you don't water them. I'd only wear a pair of boots like Owen's if they weren't blue. If they were blue, I'd walk over a mile of busted glass in my bare feet. (Yeah, I'm kidding. I'd put the boots on in a second!!)
Owen playing in the rain reminds me of when we were watching Singing in the Rain and Owen said, "I've never danced in the rain!" It looks like fun, but wherever I go, I seem to scare the rain off.

Miriam said that last comment...just for the record. I also was going to comment on how sweet his boots were, and how much it needs to actually rain here in utah...it's gettin kina nasty
What a nice Mom to let him take all that stuff outside and not worry about it being too dirty! Owen is so lucky to have you!
Cute! I remember making stuff out of blankets when I was little. Who am I kidding? I still make cool stuff out of blankets! just kidding. I think I am going to get some cool rain boots like owen!
