So with no effort, except letting in a little sun, viola. Here are the blossoms about 10 days after I cut them.

A normal 4 petal blossom.

And an unusual 5 petal blossom. The only one I could find. Good luck maybe?!?!

And moving on, I started some seeds today. Not the fanciest set up, but everything the plants need. Just a normal shop light with cool fluorescent bulbs, and a heating pad since they have to hang out in the cold basement. I started lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, and basil. In a few weeks I'll fill up the rest with warm weather vegetables.

I'm SO impressed! I wish I was there helping and learning from you. :)
Dude, that's amazing. Your lingo is going to be over my head fast.
Your forsythia looks awesome! I wish I had cut some instead of just thinking about cutting it. That's cool about your seeds and I'm glad you had a great time at the cabin. I really miss cross country skiing.
10 days?! That really is cool. I like your little garden too. I've always wanted to try something like that. You have inspired me to do it now. That is great that you are able to go to those classes. Very interesting.
